By Albany Supplies

February is a time to celebrate love. It’s also the perfect excuse to do some DIY craft projects! These Valentine’s Day decoration ideas are super easy to make. There’s nothing like shimmering love heart decorations to brighten up your home or office space.

Valentine’s Day is a special time of the year. Flowers, such as roses and orchids are available to buy all over bringing great joy to many. However, there’s also plenty of things that you can design yourself, such as decorative wreaths, streamers, desk décor, and anything heart-shaped! All of these DIY craft projects require basic office supplies that you probably have lying around your home or office, e.g. paper/card, colourful paint, PVA glue. If you don’t have these supplies on hand, you can order them from our website. Get your orders in before it’s too late!

Whether you’re decorating your kitchen, living room, bedroom, office, or reception area, these decorations are suitable for every location.

Bright Love Heart Banners

A cutting mat ensures that the most laborious aspect of this decoration – which is the cutting of the banner and hearts – is done safely. This craft is relatively straightforward, just cut the material (paper, card, or felt) for the banner, then do the same for the love hearts, glue the hearts to the banner, create a hem for the skewer (or pencil) to hold up the banner, and tie string to either side.

String Wrapped Love Hearts

All you need for this craft is some cardboard and string (or wool if you have some). These delightful and practical Valentine’s Day hearts would be perfect for your office desk.

Suncatcher

This Valentine’s Day decoration made from tissue paper is ideal for children, because it’s easy and there is no ‘right way’ to design it. The finished craft would look cute positioned close to a window in your home or office.

3D Heart Card

If you hate waiting for glue to dry, you could try using double sided tape for this craft. This card design will make it seem like you’ve been doing crafts all your life... but it is actually super simple to design! Simply cut out all the pieces, glue half of the hearts to each other and attach the 3D heart to the craft sticks before sticking the sticks to your card.

If you are under time pressure, you can always just print out some banners too, but make sure you are stocked up on coloured ink, so your banners and printed decorations are vibrant and colourful.
